SUPPORTING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & LEADERSHIP

The Closter Nature Center gladly participates in the development of youth leaders and community contributors through programs offered through Scouting America, the Girl Scouts of America, and other youth development organizations.

Over the years, CNC has been the proud recipient of projects completed by Scouting America scouts who are aiming to become Eagle Scouts. These projects demonstrate the Scout's ability to lead and manage a project that benefits the community in a significant manner. Similarly, the Girl Scouts of America have the Gold Award, which is obtained by completing a project that addresses a significant issue in the scout's local community.

If you are a scout or member of any other youth organization interested in pursuing a service project in the field of conservation or environmental education, we would be happy to work with you! We can help develop an idea into a concrete project that will benefit the Nature Center and the public who visits and enjoys our grounds. Please fill out the below form to share your project proposal and indicate your interest with working with us, and we will be in touch.
