What is the Hike-a-Thon?

The Hike-a-Thon is a peer-to-peer fundraiser to support the Closter Nature Center (CNC)—participants raise money by reaching out to friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. After signing up on our online platform, each participant (or team) gets a customizable fundraising page to share their story and collect donations. It's a simple and powerful way to support local conservation.  

Participants who reach fundraising milestones will earn fun merchandise like t-shirts, water bottles, and other exclusive giveaways. At the end of the campaign, top fundraisers will win generous prizes. 

When is the Hike-a-Thon?

Fundraising Period - October 1st through November 7th: During this time, fundraisers can find sponsors to support their involvement. Hiking and tracking your miles during this fundraising period is optional. 

Closter Community Hike - November 7th, 10am - 12pm: We will celebrate the month of hard work with the Closter Community Hike at the Closter Nature Center (rain date November 8th). All are welcome to attend this event and enjoy over three miles of picturesque trails at the Nature Center, refreshments, and giveaways. Merchandise will be distributed to fundraisers, and prizes will be awarded to our top participants.
